Since then, Cavit, the name an acronym for Cantina Viticoltori Trentino (Trentino Winemakers’ Cellar), has become one of Italy’s leading winemakers with over 11 wineries and 4500 associated grape growers. The spectacular landscape of Trentino, a highly mountainous region in northeastern Italy, is ideal for viticulture and the consistently high quality of Cavit’s wines reflects this. The company places a strong emphasis on sustainability and meets its entire energy requirements through renewable sources. Collaboration with the renowned Agricultural Institute of San Michele all’Adige has led to innovation and valuable research in the fields of wine production and water conservation.
