The history of the Angiuli winery goes back to 1880 with a longstanding belief that nature is to be respected. This philosophy drives their desire to cultivate local grape varieties which are best suited to the soil and the microclimate in Adelfia, the heart of the wine-growing region of the Primitivo DOP Gioia del Colle. The wines of the Macconi line come from old Alberello vines which are between 50 and 80 years old and each produce a lower quantity of grapes. This lower yield however, increases the quality of the final product.
